Our Vision

I am Akiri Heath-Adams, attorney-at-law and founder of Heath-Adams & Co. I was called to the legal bar of Trinidad and Tobago in 2018. I am an advocate attorney and an Industrial Relations consultant. I have acquired a relatively wide range of experience in Employment Law and Industrial Relations as I have represented Trade Unions and workers, at various levels, and worked with multiple companies in different sectors- including manufacturing, insurance, security, education, technology, consumer goods, etc. In 2024, before moving into corporate leadership, I represented workers in unfair dismissal cases, securing more than $500,000.00 in settlements. In 2025, I joined SM Jaleel & Company Ltd—the largest non-alcoholic beverage manufacturer in Trinidad. As their Group Human Resources Manager, I spearheaded Industrial Relations initiatives in 2025 that delivered an estimated $10 million in annual savings. These included the strategic exit of over 25 employees and leaders who were poor performers or cultural misfits. I successfully implemented multiple change initiatives, while also conducting over 200 employee meetings to build trust, resolve issues, and strengthen employee buy-in. I have a diverse background and it helps me to have a balanced approach in dealing with employment law & industrial relations issues.
